The future of Agriculture is guaranteed by active youth participation and the improved image of farming as a competitive alternative source of livelihood. Rural development is guided by an ‘unwritten contract’ between development agencies and women since poverty is claimed to ‘wear the face of a woman’. Youth and Women are systematically targeted for inclusion due to their unique vulnerability that enhances market access barriers.
